COVID-19

While the Fort Bend County Fair was canceled, a traditional livestock show with limited attendance and COVID-19 guideline implementations will be held from Sept 24th to the 27th. This livestock schedule was made possible by our community partners, board members, and staff for the youth of our county to show and auction their animals.

While the general public will not be able to attend in person, the livestock shows and auctions will be live-streamed. The Jr Livestock auction is set for Friday, Oct 2nd at 3 p.m. and will be conducted in-person and online. The Freezer Sale will be online only and set for Saturday, Oct 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, the Fair Association had to have a plan approved by Fort Bend County and City of Rosenberg Officials to host a safe and successful livestock event. As part of the program, the fairgrounds will be divided into smaller areas to host livestock events and mitigate those in attendance. Each divided area will have COVID-19 monitors to manage groups, no more than 10, ensure social distancing, and maintain minimal cross-over between events. Each designated area will have two entry points and an interior entry to access other event areas; all entry points will have gate-keepers to monitor masks and wristbands. A map with details will be made available to all exhibitors. Social distancing and wearing a facial mask (covering the nose and mouth) will be practiced.

Reminders to maintain good hand-washing hygiene and the use of hand sanitizer stations will be part of the Fair's COVID-19 mitigation plan.
